Latin & Psychedelic Soul Descargas — Live from the Sala
Camilo y los Cruzers is a project born from the mission to explore the rich intersections of Latin and Black music. Led by Grammy-nominated guitarist Camilo Landau, the project invites an all-star collective of musicians from distinct communities to collaborate in an open, improvisational setting.
The name invokes cruzando fronteras — crossing borders — and cruising through historic moments of cultural mixing, from Chicano Soul to modern-day psychedelia. Their debut vinyl Descargas Rockeadas was recorded live in one take — no overdubs, no safety net — as part of the Sala Sessions in Alameda, California. Produced by many-time Grammy-nominated producer Greg Landau.
